Success!
It was an all Ace day today…went out to ride first thing this morning and had a great ride. Kevin and Ace get along so well – she is so happy which of course makes me happy.
She had her second trail practice with him and did really well – one of the poles had some peeling wood and ever the Beaver she would try and swipe a piece while going over. She is going to be very disappointed when she gets to a show and does not have the same option.
She and I are doing pretty well too. I can keep her going pretty good but Western Pleasure has changed in twelve years, back with Original Recipe Spud there was not much use of your leg and so now I have to re-think how I do things but it is coming.
Because I am old and have bad knees I use a mounting block. The one at Kevin’s was rudely taken by another client – okay so *technically* it was hers but still LOL. Well today I go to the barn and I know have an awesome four step cement step mounting block!!!! I guess the guy next door had a mobile on his property and when he moved it he left the stairs. Kevin took his tractor over and now I have the best mounting block in the world! woo hoo.
We went to the used tack store to look for HUS stuff and I found a super nice brown hunt coat and hat and some cool spurs. I did not find boots that fit but I will keep looking. All in all in was a successful afternoon as all of that was bought for 200 bucks!
I also went to my friend Nancy’s and played with her now yearlings. I love them all and wish board was not so darn expensive!!! I also got to play with Jaime’s newest golden One Hot Krymsun MJ. She has to be the sweetest foal ever…she is so sweet and going to be really gold. Right now she is more of a squeezably soft My Little Pony.
